Sakio Bika is ranked #6 at SMW by the Ring Ratings. This is the super six right? Where is Johnson ranked at SMW??
My bias against Bika is just that; bias. Does he belong in the Super Six more than Glen Johnson does? Probably. But IMO he had his chance when Showtime offered him the first match with Green and he didn't jump on it, so now he gets another chance? I mean, it takes a special kinda idiot to out-****** his way out of a fight with Allan Green, the master of ****** negotiations.

Like I said, just pure subjective bias. I'm not really liking Bika at the moment, while there is nothing about Glen Johnson not to like.

The thing(s) not to like about Glen Johnson is he's 40-41 years old, he's lost 2 of his last 3 fights, he hasn't fought under 175 in over 10 years, he's not ranked at 168 and he's not marketable at this point in his career.

Yeah, he's a super great guy and all but all things considered Johnson makes no sense.

Johnson looked a little weight drained against Cloud.

Moving up to cruiserweight looked like the right move, he shouldn't be stripping himself down even more at 40 years old. But if he's only after the money, then **** it, he can make a million just by getting down to 168.

              Why????

What a joke. This guy should be at 200.

On top of that the cruiserweights are about to have a tourney.

People need to look at the business side of this thing.

Showtime doesn't want to move to the Semi's because losing a whole round of fights mean losing a whole round of money.

By forcing Green and Johnson into a fight where they need a KO to advance it makes possible fights like Froch-Dirrell II or Dirrell-Abraham 2.

Under this scenario Showtime keeps alive the possibility of having not 1 but 2 Dirrell-Ward fights going off under their banner.

I dont think it's a secret that HBO will make a push for the winner of the Super 6 to come over to their network to fight Lucian Bute, so Showtime wants to get as many fights and as much money out of this thing as they possibly can.

They should just kick green out and have the final four. No point in having someone else come in, imo.
Yes there is a point. It's called a contract that calls for 3 group stages before the semis.
