He doesn't get Kessler's two points:
The final group stage matchups are set for the Super Six World Boxing Classic, with Andre Ward facing former Olympic teammate Andre Dirrell and Arthur Abraham facing Carl Froch in a split-continent doubleheader.

I guess Showtime didn't think it would be fair to Green to just aribtrarily give another sub points when Green doesn't have any. I agree it makes more sense to just start it at 0-0. Basically the only way either of them can make the semi-finals is if they score a KO and get 3 points, with either Froch or Dirrell losing.

Better than Bika IMO. As long as Glen's not totally weight drained he does to Green what he did to Mack.

Would be a damn shame though if he was ineffective at 168 and lost to someone of Green's caliber.
Yeah, Glen's one of my favourite fighters, but I feel sure that he won't hit 168 right. When was the last time he expressed interest in a SMW fight? Even all of those years ago when he was chasing Calzaghe he wanted the fight at light-heavy.

For an opportunity like this though, of course he's going to give it a go. But I stand by what I said, I don't think he'll be effective at that weight.

To be honest I would prefer Bika, because he is a SMW, he can be quite ferocious when given the room to punch and can add some excitement to it.

But really, I would prefer just to go to the semis.

Bika is a dirty fighter in the ring and ****** outside the ring. He blew his chance at getting in the Super Six when he wouldn't accept the terms for a fight-in match with Green back in February to replace Taylor, and then got DQ'd in the 1st round of his fight last month when he hit Jean Paul Mendy while he was sitting on the canvas.

I've defended the guy in the past but it just seems he mentally squanders every opportunity he gets.

Not looking forward to this fight. At all.

For those who don't know, Bika is mourning the death of his father and is unavailable.

That's what I'd heard to, but then where is boxingscene getting their info from re: the front page story today about Bika/Green in Quebec?

That's a little crazy really, I like Johnson but he's not 'as is' a contendor at SMW, whilst someone like Bika or somebody is.

I can't think of many competitions whereby as it progresses the competition gets worse not better. The whole idea of a competition is it gets more competitive as it goes on, not the other way round.

Heck even if Johnson was crowned the winner by some crazy chance like 18 months+ down the line...Dawson could just drop right down to 168 and take it off him. 2-3 years of a competition and boom. What a mess.

Random. No way Johnson will make 168 and be effective there...

Just skip right to the semis, please. This is messy enough as it is already.
Really. At this point they should be looking to end this tourney.

Poor management perhaps but that doesn't mean Glen Johnson of all people is a better replacement than Bika.

Sure Bika got DQ'd his last fight but he absolutely destroyed his opponent in one round. ****** to hit a guy late but it happens, Gamboa could have a DQ on his record, Roy Jones did it, Arthur Abraham, etc etc etc. ***** happens.

Sakio Bika is ranked #6 at SMW by the Ring Ratings. This is the super six right? Where is Johnson ranked at SMW??
