lmfao than why do your elite always lost to a mexican?

your talking about a 3rd world country, people over there NEED to work in order to survive, boxing doesnt pay u until u turn pro, thats why alot of fighters from over there turn pro at early age..soccer is also the #1 sport people follow... look at cotto who never had a ***en job and just boxed his entire life.. only to make his ass take a knee vs a mexican with no real amateur background

check the list of fighters that have one or more belts in 3 different divisions.

mexico has 7 ( chavez, de la hoya, tapia, morales, barrera, marquez, montiel)

de la hoya and tapia where listed as americans, but I'll give you that.

pr has 6 (benitez, gomez, camacho, vasquez, trinidad, cotto)

wilfredo benitez was the youngest ever champion at the tender age of 17.

puerto rico has had a champion/titlist in ever single division.

      heavy-john ruiz
      cruiser- carlos de leon
      light heavy-jose torres
      supermiddle-manny siaca
      middle- trinidad
      light middle-benitez
      welterweight-benitez
      superlightweight-benitez
      lightweight-carlos ortiz
      superfeather-alfredo escalera
      feather-juan laporte
      superbantam-gomez
      bantam-julian solis
      superfly-jose ruiz
      fly-eric morel
      lightfly-jose de jesus
      strawweight-alex sanchez

but that counts for nothing, right?

and what exactly makes jcc better than tito all time? please explain it to me.

as far as I'm concerned they're pretty even. the only people who have him in higher standard are the ones who glorify his bloated ass record.

mexican boxing in the last three decades has caught up to pr, and some could argue has surpassed. they've got alot of young fighters coming up. and it looks like pr is falling off, but mexico has a hell of alot bigger population than pr, so there's that math.

and those that act like pr's accomplishments pale in comparison, clearly have a bias.

and mr.lucci, it was a pretty inflammatory title, bro. these discussions never end well because someone eggs the other side on.
I would put Samuel Serrano higher than Laporte as Serrano i believe defended his title like 12 times as a feather(going by memory no boxrec or wiki).

Edit: My bad, Serrano was a Super Feather and not Featherweight Champion.

I think I can name a champ for every division without the need to use guys that have titles in three divisions. Lets see:

        105- Sanchez
        108- Dieppa
        112- Morel
        115- Ruiz
        118- Jimenez
        122- Juanma
        126- Laporte
        130- Molina
        135- Rosario
        140- Ortiz
        147- Quintana
        154- Santos
        160- Trinidad (ah damn!)
        166- Siaca
        175- Torres
        190- De Leon
        200- Ruiz

and you're mexican elite are only elite till they lose to a rican. and act like it isn't so. and baseball, basketball are arguably pr's favorite sports.

you want to talk all this none sense about 3rd world country, fine, its still doesn't change the fact that they have 10 times the population of pr and thus, have a higher probably of having MORE fighters.

Mexican greats > PR greats, Mexicans go around the world to challenge and conquer titles fighting in the opponents turf, Japan, Thailand, UK Philippines,US, PR, Like Montiel KO the Japanese, and the Mexican kid that KO Llinares, Finito Lopez did it many times Librado Andrade, Segura KO Calderun etc
Ricans are to much of a cowards to do that, they always fight in PR and more of their champions are from the corrupted OMB. just listen to their excuses ROLF

They were already embarrassed and hurt with what i posted , and are looking for an explanation or an excuse. Why would you post this??

It could only hurt them more.

                  I feel sorry for them.
