I think Toney is one of the top 3 most skilled fighters of today, right up there with Mayweather and Judah. That is why I cannot let him go through with this fight. DON'T DO IT, JAMES.

come on, man, surely you don't support Toney fighting Guinn. this is not a smart move by any means. it's not like the Booker fight where Toney was coming off a layoff. there's no excuses for this, and Toney is making a bad decision

I've been on the Toney bandwagon since he beat the **** out of Jirov! So maybe not as long as you, but he is my 2nd favorite fighter. Him and Chris Byrd need to lock horns. I think Toney can beat everyone in the division, but he's wasting time. He is not getting any younger. I don't care how amazing he looked against Ruiz, he's going to get old soon, and I want him to get Byrd and Klitschko before that happens

Klitschko Maskaev will prolly happen anyways cause Maskaev is fighting Samil Sam for the wbc #1 spot. Klitschko was injured
So he picks Maskaev, instead of going after a real fight. Even taking Toney would have been a better decision, because at least Toney can box. Go after another high-profile fight if you can't get Rahman.

All he did was come up with excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't fight. He's a ****ing coward. The two biggest fights of his career were losses. Then he went on to defend the tile a grand total of ONE TIME. He's a paper champ, and the only reason he's still in boxing is because he's so tall.

When he finally man's up and fight some quality opposition, he's going to get exposed. Lewis battered his face, and had he been in shape, would have run away with the fight.

At least his brother grew a pair and is taking on a real threat. Why could Vitali take on someone who actually poses a threat, instead of being a coward and looking for the easy way out in Maskaev?

I'd agree that Toney probably should look for a better fight, but who's he gonna get? Peter is taken, as is Wlad, Rahman and Barrett are tied up, Brewster is getting a fight with someone else, Vitali is still "injured," Byrd... who the **** knows what's going on with him.. He's got no one to fight right now, and it's better he fight him than stay inactive for long periods of time. Add that all up with this: the fact that he's not a champion, nor is he considered to be the "best" heavyweight in this weak-ass division, and you get a guy who shouldn't catch half the flak that Vitali catches for being such a *****.

I agree. If Wladimir somehow beats Peter (he won't), I'll immediately have more respect for Wlad than Vitali, and I NEVER saw that coming.

Just taking the fight with Peter gives me more respect for him. Peter is a danger to him, his poor chin, and poor stamina.

honestly i don't like the Quinn fight he has nothing to gain from it but at the same time the other fighters are ducking him so you might as well stay in the public eye and show your craft off more and make the people push for a fight with you and Vitali or Byrd(who has been ducking you your whole life since you were young) but its just not gonna happen so why just sit around for 5 more months its ****** take the fight stay active like you've always been

Toney has nothing to gain just like he had nothing to gain off Booker.........but i like fight just for the reason that i wanna see him fight again and i wanna add more fights to my Toney DVD Collection

Try thinking you angry little twirp.

Toney is set to fight Oct 1st, and everyone worth half a damn IS UNAVAILABLE.

Toney fought Ruiz in his last fight.

That's certianly better than Danny Williams.

The bottom line is this is a stay busy fight, because no one is available.
