  • Comments Thread For: Forget Hatton: Alvarez Ready For Mosley, Says Sulaiman

WBC President Jose Sulaiman has a lot of confidence in the ability of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to become a supertstar in the sport of boxing. Alvarez is scheduled to return on December 4 in Xcaret, Mexico. The rumored opponent is Matthew Hatton, but Sulaiman thinks the WBC silver champion at 154-pounds should fight the likes of "Sugar" Shane Mosley to further his career.

Mosley isnt Baldomir or Jose Cotto he would be very dangerous for Alvarez at this pointof his career. I guess Sulaiman thinks that Mosley is completely shot but even if he is his power will pose a serious risk to Canelo.

Alvarez has too many defensive flaws right now for Mosley, Mosley would knock him out.

I did say before the Floyd fight that SSM is just about done IMO.

This fight however would be to soon for Alvarez for the reason you've stated.

Mosley is not on his way out, he can still fight. And why pick on Mosley now, why not pick on him when he is on his prime.

The "likes" of Mosley? If they mean another elite star, then I'd dare them to fight someone other than Shane.

If they have their sights on only Shane, it's a clear cherry pick move cuz c'mon, Shane is really starting to show his age at this point and I think they are fully aware of this.

But I guess it's part of boxing for the seasoned veteran to be a gatekeeper for the new rising stars.
