The only thing the Tony fight proved is you cant walk into the UFC knowing just one discipline and think you can dominate and this doesn't just apply to boxing it applies to every fighting style. Unfortunatley Boxing fans and most boxers are to ****** to realize this. You have to be an all around fighter to succeed in the UFC.

There was a lot of talk and debate after the Randy vs Toney fight about which would be the most dangerous and useful in a street fight. Ladies and gentlemens , now we have the answer.

- Ricky Hatton get KTFO by some unknown bodubuilding dude in a pub

- Meanwhile , Roger Huerta absolutely DESTROY some 300lbs ex NFL dude in the streets in front of a club.

Sure , Huerta may be a bit bigger than Hatton but that's not an excuse , especially when facing heavyweights dudes.

None of them do becasue they are more prepared for a street fight. Although a pro boxer would whip the **** out of 99% of all unarmed untrained thugs in a street fight.

No it just means that he is the most accomplished boxer and not the most dangerous striker. You do realize there are kickboxers and Mu Thai fighters in the UFC correct? Tony just happens to be the best of the very few boxers in MMA but as far as being the most lethal striker ha! Hes far from it.


And the guy he was fighting was older than him and well past his prime himself for *** sake!

So again what does age have to do with not knowing how to defend a single leg takedown?
