Could a stoppage loss unintentionally help Khan's credibility in this fight?

We all I think are well aware that if Khan stays at a distance, doesn't engage Maidana he could easily out box him winning a wide UD, I don't think anyone has any delusions about that.

If that happened though ppl will say he ran from the puncher and his chin wasn't tested, but if he ends up in an all out war with Maidana, takes some bombs and holds up to them well but late in the fight gets stopped does he gain more credibility than if he actually wins in what would be the smarter more technical strategy for him?

Even if he did get stopped by Maidana in this case, it proves he doesn't have such a glass chin and he isn't scared of punchers because Maidana is a huge puncher capable of stopping even someone with a good punch resistance.

    What do you think?

There is more chance of a hoe's panties holding up than Khan's chin.

The thing I think he is physically capable of doing this and winning easy without a scratch.

As far as credibility is concerned he just has to win. He already has a nation behind him, the best coach in boxing and decent drawing power so all the talk about his chin etc from hardcore boxing fans won't materially affect him.

            so do i...

i have a feeling that it might be the primary gameplan and i dont blame him and his team...a loss would be a horrible setback at this point...the main thing is to keep piling up the Ws

but he also cant get into this defensive stereotype...it would hurt his marketability IMO

if he boxes with a balanced attack ie. engaging at the proper distance to where he can avoid or deflects those bombs coming his way, he would earn alot of crowd respect

similar to the Malinaggi fight with probably 30% less engages and it would be an acceptable performace...for fight fans that are looking to be entertained that is

The most important thing is to win. Khan can worry about looking good against other opponents. Engaging Maidana for long periods just to impress the crowd would be reckless.

I am not talking about what he should do, if I was advising him I wouldn't want him to engage either just use his speed, technical, and height advantage to box to a UD and not get hurt.

All I am asking is in which scenario does he gain more credibility.

I hate to re post this.. no I don't.

How is he going to hold on well if he takes bombs from Maidana if he doesnt box him every single round. I mean look what happens to him WITH headgear lol

I personally would hold him in higher regard if he doesn't get KO'd with the first few bomb Maidana lands on him. What more could be said really? However, if he straight up brawls with him like Leonard did with Duran and get's knocked out, than in that case, he's an idiot, and I would think less of him. His best bet, fight like he did against Malignaggi
