What sad is that this is Chavez toughest test yet. If it was at 147 i might be interested, but at 154 Chavez is going to be to big.

I have doubts about Junior making 154 legitimately.

Chaves Jr and his people are plain ******. how is it helping him as a boxer if he doesn't have proper fans? this kind of fights are turning people away. Jr is just famous because of his father, but one could say the same about Jesus but at least he faced serious challenges and eventually died for it. Can anybody tell this Jr kid that to fill his father's shoes doesn't just involve fighting, it is fighting with the best! (well at least top 5 if he really can't helping ducking the No 1. LOL)

he fought the entire contender season 1 tournament as a middleweight, a chubby middleweight though

he beat two current supermiddleweight contenders in manfredo and brinkley too

panda doesnt like this guy though with all the excuses he made after the cotto fight (claimed he had a broken hand prior to the fight, was ill during camp and didnt wasnt in his best condition for cotto)

gomez also tried to make a name for himself by challenging a shot arturo gatti and an equally shot jose luis castillo

chavez "diva" jr should beat him but not as impressively as cotto did

This fight does little for Chevez's stock. A Middleweight fighting a B- level Welterweight. Not a good fight at all for Chavez.
