I would say yes he is still fighting. What do you think?
I just saw that. What can I say? I don't keep track of the Asian circuit that much.

I leave that to Shadows to fill me in.

This guy should come fight in America.

Left out everyone at 140 cuz' I think they're all glorified prospects. Left out 168 cuz' they need to finish that tourney and let the dust settle, though if I had to pick one guy it would be Bute.

Donaire is good, but also too inactive and content being inactive.

And I gotta be honest, I've never seen Moreno fight so I can't include him.
LOL Jack you're insane really. How is Montiel to inactive for your taste? How often do you want him to fight?

Out of all the title holders he is the most active guy out there.

        I'm talking about meaningful fights.

Seems like he could fight a lot of gimme's in Mexico but when it comes to making the big fights at 118, he's always injured or whining about contracts.

His has one big fight in the last 4 years as far as I can tell.

It's unlikely that he'd come to America. No reason for him, really.

well lets look what he has done this year. KO in 1 round over an undefeated SBW in Ciso Morales. Granted Morales hadn't been tested but after the Valdez debacle and to get Morales out in 1 is not a bad win.

Then beats highly bantamweight and P4P player in Hasegawa KO's him in 4 rounds in Japan mind you. Great win.

Then he fights the rough rugged Rafael Concepcion and sparks him out in 3.

All that in this year. He is a leading candidate for FOTY and it is also bout to fight again this year. He also holds a knockout win over Martin Castillo.

Jack come on lets be honest here. Dude is doing the damn thing right now.

Personally it's the combination of being 100% proven over a long, strong career added to his recent Kameda win which I found really impressive and also kind of catapulted him back into relevency. I'll be honest I have no idea what he's got planned next though or whether that was his last hurrah. Would've thought Koki's people would look for a rematch but maybe he can't make weight any more or something.

Montiel's fought three times already this year and will probably fight again before the year end, should he win that one too he'll be my personal pick for fighter of the year. Plus, like Wonjongkam, he's proven himself thoroughly and has no chance of being 'exposed' or anything.

Segura: his win is just fresh in my mind and Calderon is probably one of the best scalps you can take in all of boxing despite him getting on a bit. He's borderline I guess.

I kind of agree with you on 140lbs, the fighters there are starting to lose their luster a little bit. I think Bradley has a nicely rounded record and strong run of form though.

Agree 100% on Donaire. When he actually fights someone I'll happily put him up there with the best as he's supremely talented, but until then no.

Moreno's a really good little fighter who's really been grafting over the last few years picking up wins over tough fighters often away from home. His two wins in 2010 are both over Cermeno who's one of the most awkward fighters in all boxing right now. I'm tipping him to win that bantamweight tourney too.

Castillo seemed pretty shot by then.

I wanna see him start fighting the names at 118 before I get too excited.

Give me a good Moreno fight to search on youtube so I can check him out.
