          truth is, if floyd offers his ex lets say, a million dollars and she accepts, then the charges go away with the prosecutions key witness. i dunno what kinda girl this chick is, but im not at all certain she cant be bought. i dont think she even realized how serious this would get.

                  True, but there is two sides to this: Floyd is a target because he is a celebrity, and one that is not really widely loved. I doubt the cops would have even bothered with this case if it was some anonymous person involved. They are grandstanding and soaking up the publicity. Wait and see how this case will fall apart, but only after they have humiliated Mayweather.
