Is anyone else TIRED of Catchweights and Title Fights with random weights?

I don't get this, it seems that belts are worthless. You can have two welterweights fighting for a light welterweight belt at a catchweight. WTF is going on with the sport of boxing? The Alphabet Belts have 10 different champions per weight class and it seems like there is no integrity left in boxing, they doing it for the $$$$.

If someone is the WW champion then he should defend the belt at that weight class, If he wants to fight someone at a catchweight then they need to be stripped of their belt. I don't know the reason for catchweights. If you cant make the weight then don't fight in that weight class, move up or down.

The belts need to mean something and not passed around like pez dispensers.

Should be 1-2 belts out there per weight class (Ring Belt and One Unified Alphabet Belt ) and let there be proper world champions again instead of 15 different "champs" fighting at different weight classes and still keeping their belts and earning new ones. Boxing is becoming a big joke where everyone is putting $$$ ahead of Integrity and respect for the sport.

Instead of fighting the best it seems that people would rather protect their record and have fake belts so they can make bank without taking a risk.

I respect fighters that give legendary fights regardless if they win or lose as long as they fight the best no matter what! They will go down regarded as legends compared to those who think that if they lose they will be bums.

Look at the great trilogy's of the 90's and early 00's. They didn't care if they lost, they came to BATTLE and they brought some of the best fights we have seen. Imagine if they all ducked everyone and fought for the money instead of the pride?

    1) Get rid of all the dumb sanctioning bodies and make a unified body with 1 belt per weight class.
    2) Get rid of Catchweights and strip people who don't defend their titles at that weight.
    3) If someone ducks their mandatory and its blatant ducking then strip the belt and ban the person from fighting for that sanctioning bodies belts for a year or two.
    4) Write stronger contracts so people who duck or have a belt and do nothing with it must fight the best instead of giving people step aside money. If they don't then ban their ass and strip the belt.

just my thoughts, it seems boxing is getting into a deeper whole day by day.

In the words of the "****** genius", Floyd Joy Mayweather; "Legacy don't pay the bills." Do belts in this case? At least Pacquiao is fighting.

        AMEN.

Who the **** cares if both guys agree to fight in a weight class for a belt, 148-154 is LMW, 154 is just the LIMIT. 151 is light-middleweight and a belt can and should be legit. As long as guys are getting in the ring after both parties agree, who cares about a catchweight... as long as they're fighting. If fighting at a catchweight makes Williams-Martinez happen, then let's do it, even if it doesn't make much sense haha. just fight.

boxing needs a universal restructuring of weight classes anyway.

I don't mind the catch weight as long as it's not for a title.
catch weights use to help the other fighter that was unable to make weight nowadays cowards use them to weight drain the other.

Don't care about the weights at all (other than both fighters being within a few pounds of each other). Just fight.
