So, what does that mean, does it mean that now that it has been ordered to go to purse bid split (55%-45%) that all of a sudden Kahn is willing to offer a better split of the pie to Maidana (and Maidana is now willing to take it)? I don't understand why this cancels the purse bid.

Something tells me that Kahn will still walk away with a better than 55% split this way.

Its a 55/45 split. Maidana had to beg the WBA just to get the fight sanctioned, Khan was ducking him making excuses. Khan was put his back to the wall and woldve been stripped if he didnt agree to fight. Funny how it took letters to the WBA to get Amir to fight.

khan has been saying maidana is his opponent for weeks now, money as the problem, there was no ducking situation...

It's simple. Khan didn't want the chance Frank Warren could win the purse bid and have to fight under him again and Maidana didn't want to take a chance for Khan to vacate if Warren won the purse bid so the sides worked it out. Obviously Khan gave a little money which made Maidana feel better and now we will see what happens.

I'm not some huge Khan fan. I'm also ***ish so don't start with the ****** insults foolish people. I just don't get how people think Khan will be knocked out.

I mean I see why you don't like his personality but he's from Middle Eastern decent originally and that's just their personality often. But to see the last fights fom each other and think cause Khan got caught fights ago with a different trainer that he'll get knocked out is silly.

It be nice if people posted both their dislike for a boxer cause of his personality but could separate that from what they think will happen.
