Hoya never duck Margas...He was fighting at Jr MW and met Pac at 147 cause Pac was coming up from LW...Pac was also the P4P king while Margas just had finish beating Cotto...IMO Hoya fought everyone they put in front of him...They don't make umm like Hoya and Mosley and to a degree Mayweather anymore...

huh? how long have you been watching boxing because neither one of these things never happened...

- Oscar made it clear time and time again after Mayweather announced his retirement in 07' that he wanted and would fight Cotto that coming december... He was assuming Cotto would walk pasted Margarito, which obviously he was wrong about

- Though Margarito did want the fight after, Oscar didn't take it not because he was scared... he questioned Margarito's drawing power, his star power, just his name at the time in general... the general public had no fkn clue who Antonio Margarito was even right after the Cotto fight... so instead opted for Manny Pacquiao who was an international superstar

I've never been much of fan of ODLH but a "ducker" is one thing you can never call the guy... he wasn't afraid of anyone and ducked no one legit; his resume speaks for itself

In all fairness, the casual fans and mainstream public wanted Pac-De la Hoya. But the hardcore fans wanted De La Hoya-Margarito.

Can't blame Oscar though as the casual fans and mainstream audience bring in way more cash than the hardcore fans.

I am sure if the public really wanted one more fight, Oscar would probably give it to them. But even a blind man can see that Oscar belongs outside the ring, not in it.

Not to mention at the time the fight with Manny looked alot easier for Oscar than the fight with Tony.

More money to fight pac, plus at the time pac was perceived as a way easier opponent, it was a smart decision at the time.
