u dudes with the pac **** are just as bad as the dudes defending that idiot.
He has always had stuff going on in his life...lol. It's not like he has not faced adversity before..I'm just saying that possibly there is an intimidation issue here. He has never lost and what if, for the first time, he thinks he may not win?

I don't take Floyd for being one that is easily intimidated but having some personal stuff going on in his life is not enough for him to potentially throw his career away for. Pac is a great fighter, so is Floyd......it is the public out of the ring images that portray the stark contrast between the two.

Somebody pointed out that Nevada is 3 Strikes state.

He's been convicted twice before (the third she lied and they settled), so this makes 3x.

He's already exhausted the community service, pay fines, taking classes bit.

                He's fuccked.

Unless your brothers or whomever also have 2 strikes against them, you can't compare situations.

To say he won't do time is naive, not sure how long but he stands a good chance. 3 strikes is controversial law for a reason.

He'll probably go to Jail for AT LEAST 2 years. When he comes out he will have not boxed.... OR TRAINED... in over 2 years. He will be getting close to 36 years old.

He WONT be the same fighter.

The severity of these charges is pretty harsh.

COULD he settle out of court? Yea. But more likely then not, Mayweather is spending some time in jail, effectively ending his career.

On top of that, Mayweather-Pacquiao, a fight that SHOULD have happened over a year ago, will NEVER happen.

Thank Mayweather for all the "BOXING IS DEAD" talk we'll have to put up with for the next few years.

Mayweather is one of the deepest scars boxing has ever seen, and he is an absolute DISGRACE to this sport. I hope he never fights again, never makes another buck, and ends up broke
I'm not so sure about how serious the situation is. I can imagine he'll settle out of court, but if not...he's lookin' at court dates taking time away from his fights (if he even plans any).

I wouldn't go as far as to call Mayweather a "scar" in boxing. I'm sure many of us have at one point or another been bothered by his reluctance to fight threats, but in the end, his priority is to make money, as is any other fighter out there despite what they may say. Floyd just places money much, much higher than any other person, and he is extremely self-conscious about that considering his unblemished record. As long as he's undefeated, people will pay to watch to see if someone will shut his mouth.

People focus on Mayweather too much, and that's why they get angry when he denies fighting. They yearn for Mayweather, but Mayweather marches to the beat of his own drum and that's what ticks everyone else off.

His acting like a villain is half-serious, half-promotion. Yes, there is an ego beneath his rants that evokes supreme confidence in his talents, but part of it is to build up anticipation for a fight, and his numbers don't lie.

What I feel sorry for is the fact that a man can only take so much before he crumbles under pressure. I bet he deals with a lot of crap from people who only take into consideration his "I'm the best! Who's Pacquiao?" personality and not focus on Mayweather, the human being.

It's hard to defend him after these actions, though. It's a pity that he's brought forth so much negative publicity, but it could be worse, a lot worse. The boards would be up in flames had Mayweather been in Hatton's shoes these past days. Seriously. No joke.

I hope this thing gets settled, because if it doesn't, I for one will be disappointed at something that probably had 2 or 3 more fights...
