Floyd and Manny - Opposite Childhoods, Opposite Adulthoods

Floyd Mayweather was born to privilege. With a father who was a top 10 contender and an Uncle who was a world champion, it can be correctly and accurately said that Floyd Mayweather was born to boxing Royalty.

On the opposite side of the scale is Manny Pacquiao. Born and raised in the Third World, he had to quit school at Grade 3 to help feed his family. He literally had to beg for pennies in the ******s of Manila. As a teen, he sold cigarettes in the streets one cigarette stick at a time.

You would expect, given the above described childhoods, that Manny would turn into a homicidal woman beater and thief. Yet, nothing can be further from the truth. It is Floyd - high school educated boxing Royalty that he is - that has turned into a bad apple of society.

The so-called experts say that we are shaped by our environments. What Floyd and Manny have shown is that these experts are totally mistaken.

Pac had no father figure and in all fairness Floyd had the worst male role models you can think of. He should have looked up to his uncle jeff. At least Pacquiao had a loving mother. I don't know too much about Floyd's. I mean Floyd's father used him as a human shield. I don't think manny had anything that evil in his life.

Lmao. The streets of grand rapids are not royality. His father didn't make much money boxing ( SRL and hearns were hogging up all the money in his division ) and went to jail when floyd was young.

You pac ball lickers will try anything.

^ Actually floyd graduated HS. Manny on the otherhand dropped out of the 4th grade. It was too hard for him.

Manny went back to school and earned a business degree in college two years ago. Not bad for someone who was born into extreme poverty and had to beg in the slums of Manila to help feed his family. Unlike Floyd Mayweather whose boxing success was literally given to him on a silver platter, without much sacrifice and hardship.

Not only did he graduate High School, he was getting ready for college when the call of the boxing ring attracted him. He then went on to an amateur boxing career in which he got special treatment because of his name. Royalty, in other words. Unlike Pacquiao who is a humble man of very few words......
