Yeah it should, but if khan vacates...which I don't condone, but if he does then maidana has just negotiated himself out of a career high pay day, and will probably never receive again, if I was him I would have taken the 400-500k, this tells me that he is not completely confident of winning. Where as khan can get 7 figures easy fighting back in the UK. Maidana is badly advised or ******, he isn't considering the bigger picture, if I was him id think a had a pretty good shot at beating khan and getting a pretty big pay day, but he is giving khan a reason to back out of the fight, maidana will end of having to fight kotelnik again for half the money and getting beat again.

Insisting on not being low-balled and on being paid what he is entitled to, and not being taken for a ride, just shows the man has some self-respect.

And if Khan vacates, his credibility and earning power will plummet. Everyone would then know he doesn't think he can beat anyone who can punch, plus the belt is his cash cow.

Maidana would then fight Ortiz (Kotelnik isn't currently ranked by the WBA) for the vacant belt, and it would be a very good payday - especially as Maidana is the Interim Champion, which probably means he'd get 75% of the purse against Ortiz.

If he beat Ortiz, he'd fight Bradley or Alexander after that, for a huge payday.

Uk money is worth a lot more than argetinian. Khan has 2nd highest rating on hbo after cotto and foreman. He is the champ. He has gained world wide interest. 60/40 would have been ok but khans team ****ed up. Oh well i hope he tkos him
