Pacquiao and the Klitschkos are the best role models IMO, Floyd and Haye are probably the worst, Hopkins also has a tendency to say ****** ****, but he is kind of a role model anyways since he got out of prison and turned his life around.

I wouldn't think they've have to be of a current era if there gaps, because one of the greatest boxers to ever live was a Guglielmo Papaleo "Willie Pep," but I didn't start caring about him until I was adult.

But I'm just wondering, why would you choose Floyd as a role model over Wladimir?

Wasn't Floyd in jail for beating up his wife?
he was in jail for having an altercation with his childrens mother.

wlad isn't known enough in the us to be a role model for kids.

Aren't you concerned that manny is leading the poll and he cheats on his wife, gambles, and has criminals in his house? Or are you only concerned if someone votes for floyd?

Ward and Marquez, possibly the Klits but I don't know much about their personal life other than they're educated men.

A good role model is someone you can relate too....so whoever brings some positive energy to you is a good role model. It could be Floyd wlad or James Toney..etc

Manny is humble, honest, and a good sport. He never belittles his opponents and doesn't whine about TV commentators.

He isn't perfect, he may have cheated on his wife, but he never beat her up.

******** isn't a good habit, but at least Manny doesn't do the kind of childish bragging about being the GOAT and he doesn't make offensive comments in public like Floyd does.

I don't know if Manny had criminals at his house, but he's certainly not a criminal himself, while Floyd has been sentenced to jail time. Floyd's trainer was charged with assaulting and choking a young woman.

Manny isn't perfect, no one is. But it seems clear to me he's a better role model than Floyd.

Hopkins is the greatest role model for troubled youth. He is a perfect example of someone who came from a life of crime and completely turned his life around for the best.

Sure his antics in boxing can be over the top, but his life story is an inspiration. Further he's been married to the same woman forever, he hasn't drank since the 80s, he's smart with his money, he donates a lot of money to his community and charities, and his dedication to his health and work ethic is legendary.
