Nicolay Valuev should be dropped from The Ring and ABC rankings

Nicolay Valuev hasn't fought this year.

He fought only ONCE in 2009 and lost.

So in the past two calendar years Valuev hasn't won a single fight!

He had two close decision "wins" back in 2008, over Holyfield and Ruiz.

So why is this big joke still ranked by The Ring and by the sanctioning organizations?

What's the reason for his inactivity?

I know he's been trying to fight Vitali? What happened there? I remember seeing a video of Vitali calling him out.

I don't know why he's been so inactive, back in 2006 and 2007 he was fighting every four months.

Last spring he wouldn't accept $2.5 million dollars, so Vitali went with Sosnowski instead.

Then a few months ago there were discussions but Valuev again demanded too much money, so Vitali is fighting Briggs.

But I think the rule should be a boxer needs to WIN a fight within 18 months or so, or be dropped from the Ring rankings.

Nah, its the activity that really bothers me, not the fact that they win or lose a fight.

You have to admit that Valuev wouldve been a much better opponent than Sosnoski or even old Shannon Briggs.

It really upsets me that we will never see the biggest Heavyweight fight in the history of the sport. Do you think Wlad would have the courage to fight him?

I'm not so sure about that. Even though they can be boring, at least with Klitschko fights you're pretty much guaranteed to see a knockout. Valuev probably wouldn't get knocked out, so it would be a jabfest.

Hopefully Vitali will retire after KOing Briggs. That way it's less irritating not to see the two bros fight.

"OLD" Shannon Briggs is younger than Audley Harrison, who turns 39 next month.

Wlad tried to get a unification fight with Valuev in the fall of 2006 and again in 2007. Valuev wanted no part of him.

Vitali tried to get a fight with Valuev this year, but the cowardly sasquatch didn't want to face an opponent who might hurt him.

The Klitschkos have always tried to fight the best. They've never ducked anyone. Many have ducked them, though: Haye, Povetkin, Valuev, Solis, even Adamek now.

He has some sort of injury, an eye injury I think. I know this because sky sport magizine said he had a rematch clause for the WBA title against Haye, he could not take the option because of the injury. that was like 4 months ago I heard it. Since then who knows
