Without Mexico, it would be easy to call some US weight divisions "weak". For instance, I think of Barrera as a Mexican fighter who sometimes fights in the States. He is not an American fighter but a great Mexican fighter...I think I'm losing my point though...
This is an eminently sensible post by someone with the balls to break out of the "UK vs. US" trap.

**** sake, i'm far too pissed(stella) to be posting but here we go!!

Stop ****ing bithcing about locations!! I'm sick of this bull****, who gives a **** about location, as long as the fighters get in a ring and prove who's best then nothing else matters. I hate the "US is the centre of the world" talk, the best Heavyweight is from the Ukraine, the best Super Middle is from the UK, the best middle is from the US, etc, etc!! its a multi national sport, all you annoying ****ers are doing is creating a bull**** location hype that is just adding to the match making problems, no wonder fighters dont want to travel because everyone see's it as a weakness.

I'll be 100% happy if Hatton and Calzaghe fight in the US, i couldnt care because i can afford T.V!! I'll be happy if Mayweather and Lacy come to the UK, just as long as the fights can be made, as a boxing fan thats all whats important to me.

The fight should take place in the country that generates the most money, simple as!!

why location is very important? It's a fact the best fighters all over the world comes to America to fight. This is the place where you know you're good when you made it. I'm sick of you Brit idots calling your fighters world champion and all that when in fact the rest of the world does not bother. You see the best Mexicans fight in America, the best Russian, the best Puerto Ricans the best Filipinos, best Latins etc come in AMerica to measure themselves. Basketball is multinational sport but do most baller play in the NBA, soccer is multi national sport but do the best soccers player are in Europe. The bottomline is to measure how good a fighter or a player is, he has to go to the best competition and in boxing it is undeniable in America. The best competition, the big pond, this is the place where the great boxers dwell. And that the reason Barrera made Prince HAmed look like an average fighter. And thats the reason we believe you guys like to hype stuff.

Calzaghe beat the best America had to offer in Brewer and Mitchell and will be fighting the best America has to offer in Lacy.

SliqueJab and the American gang, you make no sense.
