People say that Calzaghe is afraid etc, but in the last 7yrs he's offered to fight almost everyone from RJJ to Hopkins to Tarver to Ottke, He's made several offers to EACH of them and has agreed to fight in their backyard, but none of them will give Calzaghe a fight.

Calzahe doesn't want to fight those guys. Never did. If he did, he would have set himself up by fighting decent fighters in AMERICA to get exposure. It's very simple. He has NEVER fought outside of Europe and rarely out of the UK. If he was SERIOUS about fighting Tarver, Jones, Hopkins, he would get the **** out of England for once, and get RID of Frank Warren. Frank Warren is a joke, and everyone knows it. He's as bad or worse than Don King with all the options he demands. Why the **** would anyone go to England to fight when Calzaghe has never made a name of himself, pulls out of fights left and right, and continues to stick with the British Don King, aka Frank Warren.

The guy's going nowhere and only looked half-decent against Kessler because he was fighting with a back injury. How can someone dismiss Calzahge's level of competition with one hand and then demand that he fights Mundine with the other? Calzghe's already beaten several fighters who'd wipe the floor with Mundine.

BTW, Hopkins was offered the biggest purse of his career at that point to fight JC and turned it down. What's not reasonable about that offer? I admit JC ****ed up the Johnson fight but he was going through a divorce at the time. At least Johnson had the balls to take the match and fight where the money was.

RJJ fans crapping on the geography of another fighters bouts always makes me laugh, he barely left his state. Atleast Calzaghe's fought in Germany, the most dangerous place to go. Lots of top US based figters have fought overseas; Hagler, Ali, Tyson, Winky, Lacy, Johnson, Barrera to name but a few yet you try to justify RJJ's refusal to fight abroad based on an Olympic robbery in Asia.

The UK has had a pretty competetive pool of boxers and I think saying that a boxer needs to come to the US to "prove" himself is just plain ******. As long as they are fighting a good level of competition who cares where they fight? The US is really lucky that we have Mexico right below us since "our" high level of talent is filled out to a large degree by a large number of fighters from south of the border. Without Mexico, it would be easy to call some US weight divisions "weak". For instance, I think of Barrera as a Mexican fighter who sometimes fights in the States. He is not an American fighter but a great Mexican fighter...I think I'm losing my point though...

hey frank. yea warren is a medium comparison to the kingdonking but there are so many similarities, hand picked refs and judges etc.etc.king goes nuts on the options.

but i'm wondering. i havent made the rounds on my favorite boxing sites lately. is that an opinion about the warren options thing on mundine or have you heard more over there? what you say makes sense but the last i read was from bxngtlk from mundines camp with no response from warren.

refresh my memory but calzaghe wasnt demanding that the hopkins fight be held overseas did he.if so hell hop would have had to knock him out to get the win.
