Klitschko-Peter will be HBO's Main Event on September 24!

July 30, 2005 - Heavyweights Wladimir Klitschko and Samuel Peter will slug it out in a twelve round eliminator for the IBF's #1 ranking on September 24. As **********.com first reported, when Vitali Klitschko-Calvin Brock fell through, Miguel Cotto-Gianluca Branco was elevated to main event status, however, with Klitschko and Peter coming to terms, (thanks to HBO throwing some serious money in the pot...perhaps now they could do the same to help make Byrd-Toney as well) Cotto will now defend his WBO title in the televised co-feature. Arturo Gatti's second home, The Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey will host the festivities. (10:41 AM ET) "
