He's an exceedingly demanding prick though.Nothing is ever good enough for him, which will put doubts into a fighters head. His control freak personality is a liability. **** he had problems with Dawson because Chad brought his fam to the gym a few times.

McGirt had a good run in the early 2000s, but he has been exposed as a terrible 1 dimensional trainer. He tried to get Malignaggi to fight like Vernon Forrest and Tarver.

The only reason McGirt had success is because of the matchking by Main Event Promotions for Arturo Gatti. Gatti vs Daamgard made McGirt look like a million dollars.

I said Floyd Sr. not Roger. And polished fighters are De La Hoya, Guzman and Dawson. I 'm saying he did a good job training them not making them All time greats.

I wasn't just talking about the Hatton fight. They were together for more than that fight and Paulie looked terrible in all of them. Look at the difference between Ndou I and the rematch, huge difference.

We're talking about going from pitching a shutout to barely squeezing a decision. Hatton's fast feet and strength would've still given Malignaggi trouble, but nobody can tell me that Malignaggi bouncing on his toes throwing consistent jabs and combinations wouldn't have won 4 or more.

de la hoya was already a finished product when sr. got to him. quleloque already answered the guzman & dawson part.

He had prime Forrest and Tarver at those times too, so it wasn't just Gatti.

He had De La Hoya for a really long time, I still stand on my opinion that he is a great trainer.

there's a reason why floyd is the only prominent fighter that both roger & sr. have taken credit for. they might know boxing, as teachers or advisers, but as trainer both roger & sr. are grossly overrated.

name me another fighter that both roger & sr. trained from beginning to champion superstar status other than floyd jr.?

dont forget that it was floyd sr. who trained joan guzman to come overweight vs nate campbell. guzman's career has never been the same since.
Lala Ali was an outstanding fighter male or female she was the best. Undefeated like Floyd.

it is not floyds fault because ricky was doing a lot of alcohol and ******* before he fight manny.

floyd even tell ricky that you cant live that life and it will catch up to you. and look what happen
