I for one believe boxing was doing perfectly well without Floyd. The year he was of some pretty good fight actually happened at the WW level, because no body was speculating wether they where getting a shot at him or not. Since his return everyone at WW or near that division is speculating of getting in the ring with him and we don't get other good fight that could be made cause of that. Everybody from PWill, Bradley, Martinez and so on have speculated fights with him that do not.

Floyd brings attention to Boxing but its the wrong type of attention because at the end of the day it isn't about the boxing it's about Floyd. If he would bring the attention and then actually get in the ring and fight, then his little tantrums and stunts would be worthy. But he does'nt fight, so what's the pount of having him around if he isn't gettting in the ring?

A lack of knowledge on other fighters usually make Floyd and Pac the topic of discussion. When they both retire for good the nonsense will cease on this board. Because ll their fanboys who only watch them will leave.

This is an excellent post and I agree. The last thing boxing needs is this kind of attention. It just seems like all of our representatives have it wrong - from the networks to the promoters to the fighters themselves. People have always poo-poohed the idea of boxing's demise but it's at hand as we speak. All of these fights need to happen and they need to be made in reasonable fashion. No ridiculous pay-per-views. Our reps need to step to the plate and make it happen now.

Dudes life is completely out of control and money has a big part of corrupting his mind. Floyd needs to get himself together and settle down with the whole bad boy image. If he gets his drive back no one can beat him but if the mind is corrupted he will lose to a fighter that wants it more(talent provided of course). Get that hunger back, young buck!

yeah floyds really not a bad guy like mike tyson said "floyd is a good kid living a dream" but i guess its working 4 him i think he takes every fight serious do he will be okay. he needs to really watch his company though

Boxing needs nobody. Boxing did just fine when he took his time off the first time. All boxing needs is good competitive fights.
