I do agree with that. I don't think it needs him either but whoever said Don't do better is bull****in their self.

its all downhill from here for Floyd...his entourage is egging him on into a place he doesn't want to be. As talented a boxer as he is, he's not untouchable.

Boxing doesn't need him at all. Boxing didn't miss a beat when he took his time off in 09. It didn't miss a single beat.

Boxing was fine without him, boxing needs no single individual in any extent. Boxing just needs competitive fights. Single individuals need boxing not the other way around.
It may not of missed a beat but wouldn't it have done even better with him lacing up the gloves? Everyone likes to see the big fights(especially casual fans), so it is beneficial imo to have the very best practice their craft.

          NSB.

97% of the threads about Floyd.
That could be very well true. But, it sure ain't boxing.

About a year layoff, outside ring distractions.. Floyds chances of fighting Pac if it were to happen in 2011 are not looking good.

Floyd needs to quit the outside of the ring nonsense and go back to what made him the what he is today.. BOXING..

Floyd needs to stay active in the sport and get focused again cause right now his road is leading to trouble..

I wouldn't go as far as to say that, Mayweather does contribute to the sport. What Boxing doesn't need is most fans directing their attention to Floyd.

You know, I'm watching Mayweather vs. Baldomir RIGHT NOW, and I sure as hell don't think he's fne. His reflexes here are wicked man, wicked. Dude has slowed down noticeably.

Yeah that was 4 years ago. He'll be 34 soon.

He slowed down but hes still the best fighter in the world hands down IMO. Says alot about his ability.

What he lost physically he makes up for it mentally. His adjustments and domination of Shane from the third round was just jaw dropping. Everything Shane tried he paid for. Floyds still..........Floyd.

Boxing doesn't need Floyd & it doesn't need Pacman!!I think both have been horrible for the sport, both have touched down at 147,now all of a sudden a whole lot of cherrypicking has surfaced!!Other fighters have fallen under their spell!!I can't wait for them to retire,I prefer to watch Bradley,Alexander the Punisher,Angulo,Martinez,Andre(both) & sooo many other fighters who put it down without ducking than those 2,really!!
