who gets more credit for beating de la hoya?

    pacquiao or mayweather?

mayweather beat de la hoya in his natural weight class, even though oscar seen better days. but he was a titleholder and he looked pretty good with those jabs early on.

floyd adjusted and schooled the much bigger fighter and took his belt. he made de la hoya look old and sloppy. he really outclassed him. and this was the better and healthier version of de la hoya.

pacquiao moved up 2 weight classes, while de la hoya moved down one. de la hoya was the one who was challenged manny, and oscar made the choice to move down to 147.

pac was the underdog, but he really beat up oscar and made him quit on his stool and retire for good.

True although Floyd beat the less washed up version of Oscar.

and Floyd actually had a hard time with Oscar...Pacquiao didn't.

i'm going to say Floyd though, Oscar wasn't going to hurt Pacquiao that night and had the fight happened later on when Pacquiao filled into 147 better, i think he would have stopped Oscar in a horrible way.

Mayweather fought a big strong Oscar, not at his best but still, Oscar had nothing when he fought Manny.
