Khan left Frank Warren ages ago mate. He is with Golden Boy now.

How would that scenario affect Khan' and/or Maidana's GBP contract and the actual promotion of the fight with GBP?

I'm guessing it becomes a Frank Warren event with GBP fighters but I dunno.

Where do GBP make their money then?

I've never heard of a promoter who has fallen out with a fighter bidding to promote one of that fighter's fights without the fighter's agreement -and I'm sure Khan wouldn't agree to it. I'm no expert on this though.

"Often" means "not always".
