Its painful to hear that. I thought if he lost it would be by a few UD's not 3 knock outs.

hopkins is a master of dirty fighting...plus he's a master at picking opponents two divisions smaller, who can't properly check that chin...
jones should have kept his weight down and waited for cats like de la hoya and trinidad to move up, then he would have been ko proofLast edited by djtmal; 09-10-2010, 09:43 AM.

You look at him at his best, whether it be playing with 44-0 James Toney, dominating WBA HW champion John Ruiz with ease, or knocking people out with his hands behind his back.
Can you imagine in 2/3 years time Mayweather losing via KO to former journyman, or being ko'd by overhyped ausse's?
Still shocking, i never fought i'd see roy jones jr with so many losses & ko's on his record back in 2002, if someone would of said it, am sure everyone would of burst out laughing.
sad....................

Anybody who says he should have retired after the Ruiz win.... doesn't understand the history, legacy, and accomplishment of re-gaining the LHW championship after winning the HW title.
The ONE fighter that went from MW - HW in 106 years... was Bob Fitzsimmons... but AFTER he won the HW championship... he moved back down and regained the LHW championship.
Roy made history by going from MW - HW... but he would never of truly matched what Bob Fitzsimmons did if he retired at HW.... He moved back down and completed what Fitzsimmons did.. and regained the LHW title...
It was worth it. Even he has said in his own words, I wouldn't take anything back... I made history.
