Double Standards of Floyd Fans

I'm a DLH fan and he did a ***** move vs Hopkins. I really hate Hopkins too but I'm a fan of the sport first. CWs should have the equal treatment all around just like other things.Well if you really hate CWs tough for you, cause there's nobody in this sport that's above a CW, except HWs I guess. Floyd (CW King at last), Pac, JMM, Cotto,Hopkins, Kessler, Froch, Canelo, Mares, Ortiz, PWill, Danny Fcuking Green. As a Pac fan what gets me is that the only one that got **** (until now
**** is understatement tho) was the one guy that won belts in 6 divisions before asking for one.Comment

I guess you don't know what paper champion means Floyd won a belt at 154 twice already beat the #1 guy in the division with no catchweight already him fighting Canelo at CW does not negate what he already did in the division for example if Floyd fights and beats Bradley at 146 catchweight for WBO it won't make FLoyd a paper champ at 147 because he already 3x champ in the division and beat #1 guy twice..No I mean this one, the "SWW" one. He's still holding the belt, and asking for a CW because the other guy is not blown up nor not past prime. I know it's technically not paper like Jones HW wasn't technically so, but both are in spirit. He's a 2x champ, he should have a pretty good idea if he can compete on level ground with the big guys. He fought a couple of guys that weren't so big or fresh, didn't like it, so now lineal belt at 152. He's telling you, I'm a paper champ at this weight. Why are you refusing to listen? Many Floyd fans already conceded, he's asking for the CW exactly cause he's a paper champ at this weight. They meant it in a good way, as an excuse though.
also Canelo is not the lineal championComment

Everybody does it man, if they're ambitious and go up far enough. Some guys don't have to go far, like Ortiz, first belt at a CW. It's much more common then appears.
But champs asking fellow champs in the same division for a CW, to unify. Very rare, all bad precedents.Comment

This is contested for the lineal belt, at a CW. If Floyd wins, what makes you think he'll be willing to defend at 154? Against a natural, near prime 154er? Like, it's not obvious at all. Then you start wondering, how can you be The Man at 154 if it's gotta be 152? Or even a champ? Aren't you a champ of all 154ers, not of all 152ers and blown up, past prime 154ers?I guess you don't know what paper champion means Floyd won a belt at 154 twice already beat the #1 guy in the division with no catchweight already him fighting Canelo at CW does not negate what he already did in the division for example if Floyd fights and beats Bradley at 146 catchweight for WBO it won't make FLoyd a paper champ at 147 because he already 3x champ in the division and beat #1 guy twice..

its for the ring belt Floyd beating Canelo and Cotto won't make him lineal champ specially since neither Cotto or Canelo did much in the division and are you saying if you don't defend you title that makes you a paper champion? This is contested for the lineal belt, at a CW. still you didn't explain how that makes Floyd a paper champion at 154 maybe his Ring belt is in question but he already held the WBC and WBA alreadyLast edited by Phenom; 06-05-2013, 02:42 AM.Comment

Dude, what's more, shame on me for stifling your strong and ever relevant point, through my ******ity. The only comfort is, a fellow Pac tard gets to laugh at me.Comment

By lineal I mean genuine or undisputed, whatever. That's all at stake here, at a CW. Canelo and Floyd are ranked 1 and 2 everywhere, that was Champ before Oscar ever bought the Ring.
I'm saying if you cherrypick a title (at a CW, or against a minor threat/weak champ) then go back down, or need a CW to defend, paper champ. Sure. Say Broner beats Paulie, then goes back down to 135 and doesn't come back. That's a paper belt at welter.Comment

130 beat Marquez in a disputed fight never unified or defended
135 beat "a minor threat" never unified or defended
140 beat IBO champ never defended or unified
147 catchweight even though he fought at 147 limit before
154 catchweight at 150 against an unranked guy for vacant beltLast edited by Phenom; 06-05-2013, 02:52 AM.Comment

Moving down for lesser challenges, not up for bigger. Hey if Floyd skipped Canelo in favor of Martinez at 160, no paper at 154. he'd do nothing to delegitimize it, like ask to unify at a CW, for example.Comment
