MGM probably gave them away to customers at the hotel. A hotel gets a few thousand tickets for every fight. They give the tickets to customers, family friends, employees, etc.

Only about 5-7K tickets are available for sale to the public because majority of the tickets go to sponsors, hotel, promoters, network, etc.

Giving them away doesn't mean they are not more exspensive it means they didn't sell.
That said floyds live gate was more than manny's and manny had 3 times a smany pople.
Bob gave away staggering numbers of tix to manny/marg.

Do each of those even count as ppv buys? because they hold up to 2,000people at each closed circuit viewing. i remember them saying they had about 5,000people viewing the pac-cotto fight at the mandalay bay arena jumbotron.

The rest of your statement im sure is standard but i've ever ever received free pacquiao fight tickets for simply patronizing mgm or mandalay. I got free mayweather-marquez tickets for simply eating at the buffet when i wasnt even staying at mgm.

Im well aware of the difference in ticket prices. It's a subtopic im trying to stay away from though because the topic is why pacquiao fans dont buy more ppv. I'm aware different companies have different pricing and marketing strategies and different fighters make different percentages of the gate...but whether or not that has that big of an effect on the number of ppv buys...im not so sure.
