I don't think people get it. This is the first time that I can think of where the WBC sanctioned a fight for the "vacant" title where the top contender was fighting a champion of another organization.

They just stripped Jhonny Gonzalez of his WBC ranking because he set a fight for the IBO title and they warned Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. that he would lose his WBC ranking if he fights Cotto's WBA title.

By going in this direction, making Ward-Dirrell a title fight and making Froch-Abraham an eliminator, the WBC gets a sanctioning fee from both of those fights, instead of just receiving a single fee if they would have made Froch-Abraham a title contest.

          Gangsters STILL run boxing.

Some shady stuff has been happening that favors the two Americans.'

The entire Ward story has been shady from the word go and he should not have even been in this tournament in the 1st place.

Bika and Bute should have been way ahead in the runnings before Andre Fraud.

EVERY fight in the States was against the rules. 2 hometown judges against Kessler was against the rules. Hometown ref vs Kessler again, against the rules.

These gangsters are SERIOUSLY desperate to have another American middleweight superstar they'll do anything. They've chosen their boy and be f$cked if anyone gets in their way.

Froch is the former WBC champion.Had Froch vs Kessler been outside this farce of a tournament Froch would have had an instant rematch clause to regain his title, making him the next in line for the WBC belt as he's the former champion.

Neither Andre Fraud nor '*****' Dirrel have ANY right to the WBC belt outside of the WBC's apocryphal rankings.

This tournament has been swayed VERY heavily in Andre Frauds favor and I for one cannot wait to see either Froch or Abraham beat the living **** out of him.

If they don't, Bute will, mark my words, Andre Fraud has a beating coming, sooner or later, he is a faker, pure and simple and will NEVER fight outside his hometown...EVER ....because his team know what will happen.

I agree 100% with you, I'm amazed the WBC got it right. Maybe this is a sign of the future. Abraham's win over Taylor was overrated when the guy was KO'd right before the super six by Froch. Froch just lost to Kessler so he gets to redeem himself if he can get past Abraham. Just think the winner of the super 6 will have two titles making the match against Lucian Bute the battle for The Ring Magazine title.

              A good decision.

As long as winner-A then fights winner-B, it all comes out in the wash anyways.

You got Ward pegged wrong buddy, wait and see

Neither Froch nor Abraham would raise their stock during a Ward fight.

In fact I most likely got Ward schooling Abraham, and embarrasing Froch.

                  Utter farce.

Now instead of having a WBA vs WBC final which would make it equal we're gonna have a S6 final: Set in America with an American boxer holding BOTH belts meaning the challenger will have to work extra hard to 'take' the belt which in itself will be a moot point because it's set in the US and the challenger will have all the cards stacked against him. If I were Froch / Abraham I'd drop out **** 'em.

Clearly there's some behind closed doors dealing here. What a joke.

That must be the case. Maximizing their own income while integrity is out the window.

Sauerland must feel let down though. They made one of their fighters drop the belt so that another one of theirs could fight for a vacant title. Now they might be left without anything.
