Mexico and the Phillipines actualyl have very similiar population sizes, although Mexico encompasses a much wider area.
ESPNs ATG list: Which ATG boxers were undefeated?

Exactly.. I love mexican fighters..always give a good fight, but I don't know what this other dudes problem is.3....
But, you know if you do a top 50.
Arguably there are 3 Mexican fighters that clearly belong and 2 Filipino fighters.
For Mexico to be so big and have so many people. That you would think it would have way more top 50 ATG fighters than the Philippines do. But, really they only have one more.

i agree and i just wanted to see the list from espn so no problemYou can google top ATG boxers if you'd like. A lot of these lists are based on opinion. Regardless of the standings and rankings of these boxers, though it is a great accomplishment to remain undefeated throughout a boxers career, it would not change the fact that they are few and far between on the top ATG list.
espn didnt do boxing for a long time thoughComment

sorry but you dont have to lose in order to be great.a true champion rises up from defeat. i think the finest form of Mayweather will come with that fearlessness and acceptance of 'damn, i've been defeated, now i need to show the world that i am still the greatest'. and evolve from that loss.
but then again, the 0 is just his marketing ploy. it's become mythical like it used to be with Fedor, which makes him more money! so.. kudo's to u, money may.

It's an indicator for ducking the best opposition or/and knowing when it is the right time to call it quits.
But it's only natural that even all time greats decline and get beat by some younger blood at the end of their career, doesn't take anything away from their greatness, merely gives back to the sport by helping to build new big names to pass the torch to.Comment

excuse me? the only one on that list that wont make it into the top 100 is probably MAB.
Sal Sanchez, JCC, Ruben Olivares, Morales, and Ricardo Lopez are definitely top 100.
any country that focuses more on boxing will do better in it.Opportunity is the keyword.. and Mexico has it.
it seems so obvious, but its so hard for people to grasp.Comment
