a true champion rises up from defeat. i think the finest form of Mayweather will come with that fearlessness and acceptance of 'damn, i've been defeated, now i need to show the world that i am still the greatest'. and evolve from that loss.

but then again, the 0 is just his marketing ploy. it's become mythical like it used to be with Fedor, which makes him more money! so.. kudo's to u, money may.

That's the way I see it. The greatest athletes from Boxing to Tennis have tasted defeat and rose to the occasion.

ESPNs list kind of sucks though. Jack Johnson #9? Jack Dempsey #8? and ahead of Langford too...surely that list isnt based on in-ring accomplishments.

Arguably there are 3 Mexican fighters that clearly belong and 2 Filipino fighters.

For Mexico to be so big and have so many people. That you would think it would have way more top 50 ATG fighters than the Philippines do. But, really they only have one more.

You can google top ATG boxers if you'd like. A lot of these lists are based on opinion. Regardless of the standings and rankings of these boxers, though it is a great accomplishment to remain undefeated throughout a boxers career, it would not change the fact that they are few and far between on the top ATG list.
