One of my favorites of all time, I have several videos of his fights.
Cerdan suffered a shoulder injury when LaMotta illegally shoved him to the canvas. We need to take that into consideration, and as well consider that Cerdan was sick at that time.Last edited by The Hammer; 09-05-2010, 02:13 PM.Comment

I disagree completely.
LaMotta was a bull of a man but he benfited a TON from fighting in the time that he fought.
He basically depended on 15 round fights and his chin. And not only that but he could come into the ring 2 or 3 weight divisions above what he should have come in at and just used his strength to win fights.
Not a lot of people know this but when LaMotta beat Robinson he weighed in at middleweight... AT THE WEIGH IN.
I mean it was a different time. A lot of guys back then Just wouldn't be able to cut it today. Their skills were too primitive and used very little of the essential techniques of today.
LaMotta was a great fighter and an obvious HOFer, I'm not denying that, but like i said it was a different time in boxingComment

He also beat Lytell, fought Marshall to the wall, beat Zivic and Williams, and had Robinson down in more than one fight with their fourth(?) having arguments for LaMotta getting a little jobbed. LaMotta was a proven great. There isn't a Middleweight right now proven more than pretty good.Comment
