How will Mayweather be classified once his career is over?

      A. Defensive Specialists? Corbett, Tunney, Loughran, Benitez, Conn, Whitaker
      B. Racists? Sulivan, Jeffries, Corbett
      C. Top 40 Fighter? Hagler, LaMotta, Marciano, Holmes
      D. Duckers? Mayweather (category of one)
      E. Overrated? Klischtkos, Tyson, De La Hoya

Roy Jones is the most obvious comparison. Fighters who were so good that you would have loved to see them push themselves harder to see what they were truly capable of.

Crackhead statement. No one is rating him top 10 now. NO one. There is no way he will be rated with the Robinson's Leonards etc. Having a 0, means nothing and shows how intelligent the person is that buys in the 0 crap. You have to look at the quality of the fights he took and THEN comparte the quality of his resume vs those of others.

          To suggest that beating:
          • Dlh who was shot at the time having lost 2 of last 4 fights, should have lost 3 of last four.. only winning by SD.. This is not a great feat.
          • Mosley - 38 who had lost 5 fights in the recent years...and was clealry past his peak.. This is not a great feat
          • Hatton - very good win, but Hatton is not a hearns, lamatto, Hagler, Frazier etc. Hatton had 1 fight at welter before this fight and he almost was stopped then.
          • Judah=- who has not beaten judah
          • Jmm - 36, only 2 fights at 135, 0 at 140 0 at 147, this is a joke
          • Baldomir - joke had 9 losses 6 draws going into the fight

Avoided best fighters at Welter. Williams, Pacman, Margo at the time, Cotto,

Sorry but those who buy into Mayweathers 0 being a reason for all time greatness, need to simply look at other fighters who had zero's UNTIL they risked it vs PEAK, GREAT, FIGHTRS AT THEIR PEAK WEIGHT CLASS. Since Corrales, Mayweather has NOT done so.

I would remember has a through D..in the original list. A great defensive fighter, fantastic fighter, who refused to risk his talents vs the best at Welter, and thus he fell short of the leonards who beat all time great fighters at their peak. Mayweather beat old shot fighters, and smaller fighters. He will not dare fight Williams, or Pacman or anyone else that poses a serious threat to him.

Floyd is a master defensive fighter. But i do agree he will go down as a could of, should of type of fighter that chooses to cherry pick his opponents and ducks top p4p guys to keep his perfect " 0" record. But hey he does make multiple million dollars from his fights and decides to flash fake stacks of money in clubs.

I think u could group floyd with marciano they're both undefeated, but the difference between this two is that marciano fights on an era where his opponents are weak and it's not his fault while floyd was on the era where mostly all of the best are in his division but pick the weakest opponent of his division.

With the best of the best IMO. If he fights Pacquiao then he'll stand alone as the GOAT imo. In a boxing ring, I've never seen someone as perfect. Even SRR got hit sometimes and more often than not he'd end his fights at least with a puffy eye. Not Floyd, he's boxing 101, picture perfect like he invented the damn sport and is showing the rest of them bums how to throw a punch, slip one, counter and turn you all in one move

Everyone looks good fighing 38 yr olds and 34 years olds who are in losing streaks. SRL look unbeatable til he fought a Duran or a hearns. Mosley looked unbeatable the next SRL or SRR until he risked it. Jones looked unbeateble..Hell he could play basketball the same day and go out and not get hit in a entire round.....

Pacman will be major challenge, but to be ranked up with the leoanrd who beat 4 all time greats..Mayweather IMO will need to beat pacman, and willliams. Then we will be able to see how he does when he in a fight where he is physcially at a disadvantagle..like SRL was vs Hagler and Hearns.
