If he beats Pacquiao he will be remembered as the best fighter of his era.

You have to look at the quality of the fights he took and THEN comparte the quality of his resume vs those of others.

        To suggest that beating:
        • Dlh who was shot at the time having lost 2 of last 4 fights, should have lost 3 of last four.. only winning by SD.. This is not a great feat.
        • Mosley - 38 who had lost 5 fights in the recent years...and was clealry past his peak.. This is not a great feat

        • Hatton - very good win, but Hatton is not a hearns, lamatto, Hagler, Frazier etc. Hatton had 1 fight at welter before this fight and he almost was stopped then.
        • Judah=- who has not beaten judah
        • Jmm - 36, only 2 fights at 135, 0 at 140 0 at 147, this is a joke
        • Baldomir - joke had 9 losses 6 draws going into the fight

Avoided best fighters at Welter. Williams, Pacman, Margo at the time, Cotto,

Sorry but those who buy into Mayweathers 0 being a reason for all time greatness, need to simply look at other fighters who had zero's UNTIL they risked it vs PEAK, GREAT, FIGHTRS AT THEIR PEAK WEIGHT CLASS. Since Corrales, Mayweather has NOT done so.
Did Hatton and Delahoya get better when Pacquaio fought them? Anybody can discredit any boxers opponents which is what you did here. And Pacquiao avoided Mosley. The one you claimed was so shot and old. Anybody that thinks Pacquaio is top 3, 5, 10, is ignorant and disrespecting a lot of great fighters careers.

Pacman will be major challenge, but to be ranked up with the leoanrd who beat 4 all time greats..Mayweather IMO will need to beat pacman, and willliams. Then we will be able to see how he does when he in a fight where he is physcially at a disadvantagle..like SRL was vs Hagler and Hearns.

Delahoya had just beaten Mayorga for the title and Mosley knocked out Margarito in a huge win for the title. What "losing streaks" are you talking about? Do you know what those words mean? If they won their previous fights, that's not a losing streak.

Jones moved up to heavyweight after starting off as a middleweight. How much more did you want to see him "push himself?"

He did move up to HW and dominated a HW champion in an era where there almost as many world titles as there are fighters in each division. Definitely a huge win for a former MW champion, but Ruiz wasnt the best test at HW to see how great he is. We also witnessed a lot of prime Roy years go by without any real memorable fights. Roy is my favorite fighter of all time, but his resume isnt up to par wit his skill level.

Well, one fight I wish could have happened was with Darius Michaezewski(sp). Neither wanted to leave their country for the fight so it never happened.

is hatton & oscar pac's best wins? NO. & there were no negotiations that ever took place for shane vs pac. not to mention pac took on & demolished the guy who beat shane mosley.

did you see the shane that took on floyd? the 39 year old 1 year 5 month inactive shane that gassed after the 3rd round? that shane would have been thoroughly beaten by pac.

as for the top 10 atg rankings, if you are gullible enough to be baited by *******s who are obviously trying to rile up *****s well...

Im not even criticizing because Roy beat a lot of good fighters and wins over BHop and Toney are huge no matter how they are downplayed. Its just that he was so unbelievable I would have liked to see him show it against more of the top guys. Imagine if the Holyfield fight had came off when it was first supposed to. If Roy could have won that it would have put him on a whole different level than almost anybody..
