And all of you bringing up hometown cooking in favor of Ward don't forget the ref in the first Bute-Andrade fight did him a huge favor.

Ward is a Coward I don't like dude, especially with all that god/jesus nonsense, if god is so great then you should have no problem fighting outside oakland and fighting anyone.

But if he had been accepted into the super six, he would have been willing to travel.
How can you say that for sure? It's hard to say if he would or not. He's lucky he doesn't have a KO loss to Andrade and it's all thanks to his home town referee.

Anyway, if this fight falls through it will be a disgrace. This tournament has turned into an utter disaster and is on the verge of becoming a total failure.

This is how I see it. The fight should be in Michigan. Dirrell had to come over to the UK and got robbed vs Froch. Ward has had 2 hometown fights and should have to travel at least once.

I also think this should not be an elminiator. I believe that the winner of this should fight the loser of Froch vs Abraham and the loser should fight the winner of Froch v Abraham. That way we see Dirrell either get to shut AA out again/AA get revenge or Dirrell get revenge on Froch, while Ward gets to fight another new opponent.

Then we could have the winners face off in the final and the losers in a 3rd place play off or something. That way we keep the tournament longer and we see more fights with these fighters and the fighters also get more money so everyone wins!!!

I accepted Taylor dropping out - the guy had been knocked out badly for the second fight in a row and the third fight in five. I accepted Kessler dropping out - the guy has a bad eye injury and he simply can't fight with it. I can not accept Ward and Dirrell dropping out, as they have no excuse whatsoever. They signed up for the tournament knowing they would have to fight and if they don't now over an venue issue, I will never support either fighter again.

The Super Six has been great for boxing up to now, so I will be furious to see it ruined, but it would be typical of how self-destructive boxing has become. The sport has been committing a slow suicide as of late, what with Mayweather-Pacquiao falling apart, Klitschko-Haye falling apart and now this.

Ward spent 12 rounds holding Miranda most of the time. Bute knocked him out in round 3!
I'm no fan of Ward, but let's not play that game Tunney. Miranda previously went 12 with Abe before getting sparked in a rematch...which prior to that got stopped by Pavlik, knocked down by Green's heavy hands...before taking on Ward's dirty style for 12. He was nothing by the time Bute got to him.

His fists were all he needed.
