I hate to say this but... **** the super six now I've lost interest in it... the Ward vs. Dirrell fight is the only fight I have interest in and after that I'd rather them scrap the tourney so Bute can be an oponent for Froch, Ward, Dirrell
Dirrell and Ward are a disgrace!!!!

Wtf. I dont care about this fight because it would probably be the worst fight in the history of boxing. But come on how the *** are you gonna pull some **** like thisComment

Exactly.I blame Ward more than Dirrell. Dirrell was willing to fight Froch in the UK. Ward meanwhile has had both fights in his hometown with a home ref that allows him to use dirty tactics. Without that home ref, he's in deep trouble because holding and hitting is a key part of his arsenal.
And right now he and his promoter Goossen are demanding the fight be in Oakland, that's what's holding it up.Comment

these two sissies need to get in the ring and fight it out. they gotta stop pulling this bull****.Comment

that's cause showtime ****ed up and said ward could have 3 fights at home. but those 3 fights were for the first round only. now that we are in the 2nd round, they should be forced to travel.Comment

Its a shame.
It seemed like a good idea, but its turned into a disaster.
The intervals in boxing are too long to successfully run one of these, plus injury problems, and personal life problems that come about. Sad to say I think this concept can only thrive in MMA, where the fighters can fight every 2 months without a problem.Comment

The fight was planned from the beginning of the tournament. How can they pussy out of a fight this far into it? Especially considering it would now take place as a semi-final bout since Kessler had to pull out.
If it's the location, is Vegas not considered neutral? Ward's camp is a joke for wanting home advantage for every fight anyway.
If it's because of friendship, well that just sucks balls, as they both knew from the beginning that they would eventually meet. fucking ridiculous.
As for the posters mentioning Bute as the best at 168, who has he beat to claim that spot? Seriously. I'm not knocking him, as i admire his skills, but come on now.....his resume is nothing compared to some of the competitors in the super-six. Win or lose, they are facing the best...Bute isn't.Comment

Knowing that he would get called out on his headbutts and that the home side is undefeated, Ward knows if he fights outside of Oakland, he's going to taste defeat. Why not bail out of the tournament and preserve that 0.
For future tournaments (if there are any), they definitely have to plan out all this gibberish way ahead of time.Comment
