How does Mayweather being a racist tarnish his legacy? Not all athletes are angels and some of the greatest athletes have been coke heads, rapists, or openly racist. If you don't like the person that is fine but that doesn't diminish what he does in his or her sport. You need to learn how to separate the two.

Its not ONLY that, that will tarnish his legacy, its whole persona, the ignorance, the arrogance, but arrogance which is not comparable to any other fighter cause he aint fighting the best, he is saying he is the best, but cherry picking his opponents, which are usually old, or small.

I was going to bring up Cobb but to many non American's wouldn't get that, being an overall terrible human being didn't stop the Tigers from building a statue in his honor (with his spikes up) or him being in the first HoF class.

Mayweather is one of the greatest smaller weight fighters of all time and has ducked very few fighters(especially at his natural weight classes). What happens if he fights Pac and beats him, are you going to discredit him because he simply is a racist? We are supposed to be judging fighters by what they do in the ring, not if they are a kind person. Many awful people in sports are still rated highly as long as they back it up. Tyrus Cobb is looked at as one of the most gifted baseball players of all time and he was openly racist and woman beater. It's wrong to knock athletes for things that have nothing to do with their profession.

Look at JMM's or Mosleys PPV history. Floyd is pretty much bringing in 800 to a million buys. His opponents do some of the numbers but don't get it twisted, Floyd is a massive draw and that is why he gets paid what he does.
