Oscar came in a healthy 154 vs Floyd. He had a healthy diet regiment, slowly burning down to that weight.
Against Forbes, it was a catchweight fight at 150, a weight Oscar probably didn't walk around or weigh at in years. He looked like ****, and weighing in at 145 against Pacquiao, looked even more washed up.

His peak is where he was most effective and had everything going for him (I.E. Maximum peak speed, punching power). He had punching power at 130, 135, even at 140.
His peak was probably at 140, where he should've stayed for years longer but he rushed to win a title at 147 and go after Oscar.
At 147, his punching power was almost gone and Vs Oscar, even though he didn't weigh in at the limit of 154, he was the most BUFF I even seen him, which slowed him down.
NOT A PEAK FLOYD. A in shape Floyd? Yes. But no peak.

Oscar was past his prime, but by no means was he shot. Against Sturm, he came in with a soft out of shape body, lets keep that in mind if we're gonna use it.
Against B-Hop, he simply got Ko'd against a great middleweight, and won some rounds in the process. Came in great shape.
Had a great night against Mayorga, and put all his tools on display at his more natural weight of 154.
It was against Forbes where he started showing signs of being SHOT, and the going back down in weight along with his inactivity played a major part in that.

You need to learn the definition of "shot". A "shot" fighter is somebody who is completely finished and had nothing left. Oscar had just won a world title and gave one of his best performences of his entire career.
Iv'e gotta put you on ignore for such ignorance.

There is no way to tell whether he there were stamina issues, but what was evident is that his Jab got neutralized and he stopped trying to use it.
He said it himself during the post-fight interview: "For some reason, my Jab stopped working".
Yes for some mysterious reason, your key weapon stopped working. Couldn't have been because of your opponent could it.Last edited by cupocity303; 09-05-2010, 05:04 PM.

Oscar was still a top 154lb fighter and Floyd has never fought at the weight before. Which made it interesting.

Put it like this, DLh that fought Mosley the 1st time, would have destroyed Mayweather that night they fought. Facts going into round 8, DLh was winning 5-2 on 2 of the cards. Then he had stamina issues. Younger DLH who was able to fight 12 solid rounds vs Mosley, would have no problems beating Gayweather.
Again what Peak, great, and natural welter has Mayweather ever beat?

Hearns would slaughter Mayweather....
IN fact. we are talking about all time top great fighers, and mayweather will not fight the best today. He wont fight Williams, he wont sign to fight Pacman, he ducked margo, he will not fight cotto. he backed out of a signed contract with Winky wright.... And we think he would honestly sign to fight a SRL or Hearns...Please.. Based on what, as he has yet to prove he will fight big peak Welter. only old shot welters or small fighters.

That fight is not even close.

What does that have to do with what I said.
And again, the fact that Floyd won it by Split Decision is irrelevant to me, seeing as how I with many others scored it for Floyd Unanimously.
Don't get emotional on me, it's boring and I've read it all before.
