people throw out these numbers but then if the fight doesn't reach one Million everyone will come back and make excuses as to why it didn't reach that number

I think it will do 800k-1 million especially since it is a Mexican Fighter involved, Latino fighters Draw well especially in BIG Matches

there's really only 2 fighters that were african american aside from floyd that would have meant anything.

nate campbell at 135 and shane mosley at 147.

he only had 1 fight at 135 before oscar accelerated his weight division rise prematurely.

nate campbell would have been a better opponent than david diaz but hindsight is 20/20.

arum planned on him fighting diaz at 135 since before campbell beat juan diaz.

that's why diaz was on the undercard of pac-marquez 2 only a couple of weeks after diaz-campbell.

mosley he could have fought at 147 instead of cotto but cotto and mosley were #1 and #2 in the rankings so not much difference there except cotto was also more money.

out of 50 plus fights , pac has only fought 5 times above 130. not too many great african american fighters during his time in those divisions. certainly not around 2001-2007 after he started fighting in the u.s.

good american black fighters were non-existent in pac's path to stardom. all the good ones were latino fighters. true story!

Actually I don't. I do think top rank sees no value in matching manny against black american boxers because(outside of top names) the risk is too high and the reward to little. From a risk standpoint manny (even under roach) leaves himself too open. Quick counterpunches can exploit this. They may not beat manny, but they will surely make him look less than spectacular (like JMM).

From a reward standpoint, few black american fighters generate the kinds of large ppv sales/live gates that mexican and puerto rican boxers do. In that respect its silly for top rank to match manny gainst say Zahir Raheem (someone many posters ******ly say manny ducked).

Its not about race. Its about economic growth and future economic opportunities. Too bad tua and psychoddad immediately go to race.

a win over nate campbell and zahir raheem would have sealed his legacy.

So are you saying Pac is scared of African American fighters?Promoters are the one's to blame Pac fights who they put in front of him if Bradley or Alexander were under Top Rank Im sure they would make that happen. Its not Pacs fault that Arum is a business man and Pac wants his piece of that pie too the only way that can happen is by bringing a opponent that brings something to the table Margs sold out the Staples Center and the Home depot center so he is a proven draw and thats the bottom line Arum aint blind .Bradley couldnt even sell out 3000 seat arena in his own home town Alexander is only big in St Lu nobody knows them.I know Margs doesnt deserve a pay day but his resume ****s on Bradleys and Alexander combined.
