but what about signing contracts to fight both klitschkos and then pulling out? if he didn't like the deal, why did he sign in the first place??

He never signed to fight Vit they just began negotiations you cannot pull out of a fight you have signed for like that baring injury he only pulled out of the first Wlad fight.
