Margarito will come out and give his best, early rounds will be cagey and be even, then in the middle rounds, this will determine the winner, depending on whether pacquiao starts to dominate and lands with ease or whether margarito pressures pacquiao and pacquiao is taking punishment.

I think when we finally saw Pac standing next to Marg we all started to second guess ourselves (even though we all knew Marg was bigger), but I still stand firm in thinking Pacquiao will win either a lopsided decision or stop Margarito. Right now I'm leaning towards a stoppage in 8.

Pac is a fucking freak of nature. Lol. I don't know how else to put it. I honestly think he'll take Marg's shots better than Marg takes his. Margarito is farrrr too slow. You have two guys with great stamina, chins, and workrate, so I have to go with the guy who's faster and has better movement (side to side).

Pac's speed advantage + Margarito being easy to hit + Pacquiao being able to land from any angle he wants = disaster for Margarito.

That's just me though. I've been wrong many times, especially when predicting Pacquiao fights.

I picked DLH and Cotto against him. I picked him against Hatton and Clottey. So since Pac moved up in weight (not counting Diaz ) I've only been right half the time lol.

Margarito is slow, which is why he throws bombs at random. There is order to his chaos though. Everyone who fights him thinks they can move out of the way, the problem is he lands his shots eventually. I think he uses his constant throwing to gauge your rhythms and he somehow times your patterns.

i watched cotto-marg again the other day though and......marg is so damn slow.

I was of the belief that Pacquiao was too fast for Margarito and he would just move in and out while tagging him at will, but I can't keep acting as if Margarito will respect Pacquiao's power and Manny is some sort of defensive genius.

Margarito won't just stand in front of Pacquiao letting himself get picked apart and giving Manny a rest period. He's going to be walking Pac down nonstop and throwing 4,5,6+ punch combinations even when he's out of range.

Mosley was smart and strong enough to hold Margarito every time he was in range to land. And after he held, he'd walk Margarito backwards to tire him out.

Can Pacquiao do this constantly? If not, how is he going to keep Margarito at bay?

Pacquiao doesn't seem to have the lateral footwork that it takes to keep Margarito off balance and on the outside. Nor does he have an exceptional inside game where he can block punches if he does get inside.

He can throw tons of punches like Williams, but Margarito will only wait for so long before he says 'A la verga guey' and forces his way inside. Margarito is 5'11'' and his main punches are the straight right hand and left uppercut, they will work well against a shorter southpaw.

If Margarito can get to Pacquiao's body early, it'll get very interesting down the stretch.

I still think Pacquiao will win because Roach is a master at game planning and if he has Pacquiao going to the body early, all of the above will be annulled, but if not this will be Pacquiao's toughest fight since JMM II.

pac can't do what mosley did. pac isn't strong enough to hold and clinch and push margarito. it really depends if pac can keep up a furious pace for 12 rounds straight all the while taking mexican body shots. Pac has got to hurt margarito early in order to not get grinded like calderon got against segura.

This is what I've been saying. I'm favoring Pac but people are seriously underrating Margarito I feel.

Absolutely. You'd have to be pretty vain to think Margarito stands zero chance against Pacquiao. Margarito needs to survive the first 6 rounds to have a chance though, for me that is essential for him to get into the fight. The problem is for Margarito is the pace of the fight, as we know Pacquiao punches in very high volumes every round so this will be the factor in the fight. Margarito needs to somehow discourage Pacquiao, which then may allow him to get a couple of shots off himself. Margarito's come forward style is defiantly a disadvantage for him as Pacquiao's footwork is just to good, this will allow him to get out of the way of being walked down.

mosley wasnt that much smaller than tony, he's also as strong so what he did after his flurries was clinch. pac can't do that. and tony would be coming at him all night. i still feel pac would win but anyone whio says it's a walk in the park for manny is an idiot.
