yeah I saw that too at the ned of the 2nd rd. everybody talk about the 2nd rd and Floyd getting rocked but they don't see or don't talk about him regaining control of the fight by the end of that rd. and like u said it was that left hook aginst the ropes with like 48 secs left that halted all of that momentum.

The stage just got to big for shane after the 3rd round.
He realise he had 2 options and 2 options only.

      1. Open up and let his hands go in a effort to WIN against Floyd and get countered and possibly TKO...

      2. Fight to survive.

And Mosley choose to fight to survive, like so many other Mayweather opponents. IMO, Ricky Hatton Showed more heart against Mayweather than any opponent that Floyd EVER faced. Shane Mosley for all his talking ****, and slandering Mayweather courage in the media leading up too the fight.

Fought like a coward in relative terms. He was the chicken.

“The true test of character is not how much we know how to do, but how we behave when we don't know what to do.”

Mosley fought like a quitter plain and Simple after the 3rd round.
It was almost worst than How clottey fought against Pacquiao.

-Floyd's accuracy started to pick up
-Shane didn't know how to get around that high guard
-Floyd's a far better technical fighter
-Shane fights one way and if that doesn't work=problems...
-Shane may have been thrown off by Floyd standing in front of him and taking the fight to him

Basically Floyd's a better fighter and showed everyone that Shane is past his prime, possibly washed up...in case they were fooled by the Mayorga and Marg wins...Shane looked like **** against Mayorga...

Good point. Floyd, because the punches are fast and accurate, hits harder then his opponents expect.

naw, i think Mosley still wanted to win, but he felt like he only had 1 shot at winnig and that was catching Floyd on the break because he couldn't catch him setting him up and he couldn't catch him countering or punching while he punching. so catching him on the break was his final option.

and I think Floyd was hurting him too and made him hestitant to throw as well...I just don;t think he quit. He just got beat up and left flabbergasted like all of Floyd's opponents. Hatton wasn't too courageous, he was just too ****** to do anything else.

I have seen the fight more than 10 times.. Shane quit.
                He didnt set anymore punches.
He was actually getting beat off the break.
and ****m had to tell him Floyd is catching you off the break...

Shane just basically fought to survive after the 3rd round.

they guy is the complete package. I think vivek wallace said it best when he said that Floyd was like plumber with a bunch tools and he uses certain tools when he has too.

People complain about floyd not throwing much but why when you don't have too. He always adapts accordingly, the game plan is whatever will give him the win. He like the triangle offense of the lakers or something.

Just look at dawson for example....he kept doing what he was doing until it was too late. if that was floyd he would have sensed that he needed to step it up in the midrounds and took control of that fight! That is the difference between a good fighter and a great fighter.

Mosley couldn't do **** once Floyd made the adjustment no longer react to Mosley's pitty pat jabs to the body.
