No and it wouldn't be a black mark on him either.

No way, that fight would be tough as hell for Manny, but nah, i highly doubt it.

        Margarito #1 WBC LMW.

The WBC has become a joke.

I make the thread because a friend of mine on here (Mr. Copeland) said that if Williams wanted Pac he should get himself in position to fight him.

So I ask if Paul WAS in position would Pac take the fight?
          no.

he would fight the wbc #2 ranked fighter.

          the great saul alvarez.

pac-canelo should be a great fight.

saul just graduated from junior high and pac is the size of most 9th graders.

i don't know why people complain so damn much about ****** boxing politics.

it's been like this for decades.

            welcome to the sport.

if it wasn't pac-marg it'd be marg-alvarez or angulo-rhodes or some **** for the vacant belt.

            wbc is whack.

they still have floyd mayweather jr. as wbc 154 champion emeritus.

40 months since his one and only fight at 154.

oddly enough........floyd weighed in at 150 for that fight.

I see what you are doing here. Good job in twisting my words

I said Paul has to come to 147 if he wants to fight Manny. If that happens he will get a fight. Again Manny beats the **** outta Williams which is why Williams hasn't made the move yet.

Now quite making up these scenarios when Williams knows what he has to do, you know what he has to do....so quite with these threads bro. Again I really hopes this happens because Pacquiao would beat the fvkk outta Paul Willams.

btw last time the vacant wbc 154 belt was on the line was vernon forrest vs. carlos baldomir.

how did forrest earn his title shot at that glorious belt?

better question is how did baldomir? his previous fight was a loss at 147.

And what's your fixation with Dzinzurik? I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Yuri Foreman beat that guy if they fought.

People don't understand that the only true champ at 154 is Cotto. So unless you want to see Manny vs Pac 2, then I don't see why a vacant title is such a big deal....esp since every champ there has won it that way making this fight no different than fighting those guys.

However my beef is this catch weight. This is why I am having issues with Manny and this ridiculous move......especially when the same results will happen at 151 as it would at 154. I really wish someone would talk to Manny and inform him of how much backlash he will receive from this.

Honestly, not defending the WBC, but they have approached 5-6 guys and all have decline to fight for the championship. So can you really blame them for excerising a rule (that has been there forever and was also used to make Floyd vs DLH) to make Pacquiao vs Margarito?
