Respectfully, that is not the case. What happened was his manager said it was related to his Asthma. There was nothing ever proven to that effect.

May I remind you Briggs put on 50 pounds of muscle after he fought Lennox Lewis the first time. That isn't an easy task to do naturally.

Briggs is just as demented as Holyfield. Vitali has never been knocked down much less out. In his prime he couldn't beat Vital, forget about now.

How the **** he get a shot for the title right now?
            Asthma.

I don't know a lot about him, but I read a big article on it a while back. He can barely do any cardio without being on a number of Asthma medications.

I myself have asthma have have been prescribed what are basically steroids for it, so I'd definitely give this guy a pass.

Edit: Dude started a damn foundation to raise awareness on how to battle Asthma. I'd say he's clean.

So the 40 lbs or so of muscle he's put on since the Lewis fight are just a byproduct of asthma medication? Cool.

I suppose Briggs' only chance in this fight is to catch the older Vitali early and cold in this fight, but 30 seconds is pushing it a bit.

That was 12 years ago. I'm sure you can accomplish a lot on a bowflex in twelve years.

Haha, beat me to it, in other words he has about 30 seconds of gas in his tank, he dont score a knockout then, he's screwed.

Seriously though, dude is nuts if he thinks he's knocking out Vitali.

                    Yeah, it seems very unlikely.

I don't understand how anyone can think that Solis is a world class fighter? I have to ask does he even know how to throw a jab? Because if he does he sure doesn't throw many when he fights and when he does they are not all that effective. He also stands right in front of every one and throws bombs with little in the way of movement. He also had trouble with Long 's height and yes that was only in his fifth fight. However, he fought the very same way in his last fight with Drumond so it looks like he is what he is. He also doesn't particularly have fast hands and does not put many combinations together. And I don't care how thick he is he has been down in the 240s and he has only been fighting for three years. So what can be his excuse for ballooning up to 270? In closing I have to say that I find it rather surprising that with all that amateur experience that he is such an ordinary fighter.
