Well, Vitali offered Valuev 2.5 million and he passed.

He offered to fight Haye and Haye wouldn't even consider it.

So who else do you have in mind? Solis is 6'1" and 270 pounds,
so he is just another fat boy. Boytsov is injured. Briggs is
as dangerous as anyone else willing to fight right now.

A fat out of shape Solis>Briggs.

Is more skilled, is younger, fresher and IMO more deserving even if he is fat as hell.

If I do a Heavyweight ranking right now of active fighters Solis would rank ahead of Briggs for me.

I also think Solis would beat Briggs if they fought and I think Solis is more skilled and would beat Valuev if they fought.

It is ridiculous for this fight to happen. Jesus F'ing christ there are more deserving contenders out there. Vitaly is fighting to bad fighters back-to-back. And, I give him a pass for Kingpin but he wasn't a World beater either.

Wlad's fighting Peter, so he's out. Chambers is fleeing the division reportedly. Haye wants to be British Champ. Tua got embarassed against a retired fighter. Valuev wants 3x mroe than his largest payday and hwo knows when Valuev even can fight. Valuev also has lost twice officially in his last 6...and imo 3 times (he lost to Holy). Holy is too old and has won 7 fights in the last 12 years. Dimitrenko got worked by Chambers and isnt a draw at all. Adamek isnt ready and he didnt want the fight. Boytsov needs to move up much slower than jumping in with Vitali, plus isnt he hurt or something?

So to me there is no one out there who he hasnt already beat or who Wlad hasnt crushed. I mean he cuold have targeted Chagaev I guess, but what does that do? At least hes trying to fight guys who have a reason to be in there, Euro champs, undefeated guys, and now a former champ who is big.

the klitschkos have completely cleaned the division. the only people left are either ducking or are mostly 2nd tier opponents. there are a few solid fights that can be made at heavyweight - but they can't be made if fighters are ducking. adamek will prob step up at some point. haye is taking ducking to a level that was previously not thought possible.

regardless there is prob a little more money in the briggs fight, and he isn't much less dangerous than solis. didn't solis look bad in his last fight anyway? maybe solis could pick up some good wins and let that fight simmer for a bit - he isn't going anywhere.

I don't think Solis is that much better than Briggs. 6'1" 270 pounds
is shameful. Plus, he has zero name recognition and Vitali has fought
enough of those guys lately (Johnson, Sosnowski). Face it, there
isn't much out there: the division is cleaned out for the most part.
Vitali is just staying until they can get all the belts, which is his goal.
And Haye is trying to deny that goal by ducking them.
