I don't think Solis is that much better than Briggs. 6'1" 270 pounds
is shameful. Plus, he has zero name recognition and Vitali has fought
enough of those guys lately (Johnson, Sosnowski).
Solis is a better name than those two, though I agree he isn't much known outside of the boxing community. Still, whatever his weight (and weirdly he seems a bit like Peter in that he doesn't seem to get fat, just solid) he has legitimate top class skills and is a young, undefeated fighter that will hopefully go on to better things down the road.
Briggs recently tested for a banned substance, but for some STRANGE reason nothing was ever released that said exactly what that was, and I find that rather odd.
Briggs will NOT knock out Vitali period much less in 30 seconds.
"or,", Briggs continued, "after the first 30 seconds, I will gas out, and Vitali will pummel me into speaking less coherently than I did in Transporter 2"
who cares about all this nonsense that vitali should fight someone else. he is fighting briggs so just enjoy it or dont watch it. stop this whining and baby stuff already.
this is ****** talk. this is fully accepting the ******ed flaws in boxing. as fans we have to complain - it is our duty, otherwise the sport has no reason to stop producing ******ed ****.
no one is happy pacquiao is fighting margarito, this is arums doing - which screws the fans over hard.
no one is happy that floyd isn't fighting pacquiao next
no one is happy that haye is the biggest ducker of all time and won't fight the klitschkos
while it aint vitalis fault that briggs is about the best he can get, blame still has to go somewhere. why did valuev have to be such an idiot? god i wanted to see that tall bastard drop!

i wish they would let briggs use every banned substance that he could possibly think of, because it wouldn't make any difference - unless ofc he overdosed before the fight.
Nice of them to get the musclebound Briggs out of retirement, dust him off and give him an undeserved title shot. It wasn't like his acting career in movies was taking off.

If I remember correctly they had a few articles on other sites talking about the banned substance. Apparently it had something to do with his asthma which his team could prove which is why they only suspended him for 3 months.
