If everything was head to head a Prime Roy Jones would be the GOAT of all the sport.
If the question was the most accomplished WWs in history you'd be correct. Since the question is the greatest WWs Id say the Tommy Hearns that showed up to fight SRL is one of the top five greatest WWs to ever step into a ring. The question depends on interpretation. Tommy Hearns loss to SRL is also 10x more impressive than Floyds win over Mosley just based on what Tommy was able to do for the 14rds leading up to the stoppage.

I always took greatest as meaning most accomplished. What you described would be more performance based. It means something to different to everybody I guess.

Yeah I like this list. You're right it is interchangeable outside the top 3.

Id throw Luis Rodriguez and Tommy Ryan an honorable mention vote.

I understand what you're saying completely, like you said it just means different things to different people. It also gets hard to rank older fighters based on resume because you not only have to watch all their fights, but all their opponents fights and all of their opponents fights just to get the right perspective. Ive studied a lot of the sport and continue to, but not to the point where I feel comfortable ranking them based on resume. Some people have all that knowledge I dont.

Get caught up on the history and you'll quickly find out that its trollish and fan boy esque to rank Tito as the greatest ww ever.

Sure, I'll rank guys that I have actually seen fight 10-20x and have lived to and you can rank guys that died 20 some years ago and you have watched 5x on youtube and read about in a book. Which one seems more logical huh?

I call this Bill Russells Syndrome, me and my friends argue who was the best Shaq Jordan Bird etc etc and some douche say Bill Russell because he read a book and saw 6 Celtic games on ESPN Classic.

I agree with you to a certain extent, but I think you also underestimate the dedication of some fans. Just because you havent seen a lot of certain fighters doesnt mean nobody else has.
