But a good "rule of thumb" for determining this amount would probably the average pay a particular MMA fighter made in his last 3 fights multiplied by 4. This way Dana White can't come up with a bribe that would motivate the MMAer to not participate.

The purpose of this proposed plot of mine is to make MMA fighters really bad laying in the middle of the ring unconscious.

Here are some good MMA candidates that could probably be made to fight in boxing:

    Chuck Liddell
    Tito Ortiz
    Frank Shamrock
    Ken Shamrock
    Mark Coleman
    Don Frye
    Tank Abbott

The Gracies are rich. So is Randy Couture with all of his gyms. Therefore, they probably can't be bought. And the reigning champions like Lesnar would probably be too expensive. But recent has beens like Rich Franklin and Vanderlei Silva would be perfect "James Toney's".
james toney wasnt the best of what boxing has to offer. he is old shot that fight didnt mean sh.it

Let's not be silly. If people want to think a blown-up, old James Toney is a representation of boxing then let them.

If people are so ****** and so fanboy-ish to base that as their opinion for "MMA is better boxing", then there's no way a fight the other way round is going to change that.

LMAO out all these morons on this thread saying boxing needs to be redeemed.

Boxing has a history, it's a culture, it's not going anywhere. Don't let one overweight, deluded shot boxer make you think boxing is on it's last legs.

Boxing and mma are NOT comparable. Both have similarities due to physicalities but both can co-exist.

We as fans need to be above this rival bull****, love our sport and demand to see the best fights made, not focus on UFC.

I don't want to see an mma star in a boxing ring, or vice versa, mma is so new people find it refreshing, but boxing does not have to justify itself to anyone or anything.

Doesn't change the fact that most MMA fighters would make more money fighting boxers in boxing.

Because the promotor controls the matchups, you don't have fighters taking on 40 cans in 45 fights.

Also, these guys can't fight once every two months. Too much damage done in their fights. Could you imagine how beat up these guys would be if they fought as often as boxers? Couldn't be done.

They can't fight 50 fights just to build up their records, and the promotors won't do it.

Freaking fanboy thread. No surprise coming from a Pac fan who just started watching boxing. If your a real fan of the sweet science you would understand that what happened last Sat is irrelevant because it didn't happened in a square ring under boxing regulations. Different sport different tactics. Its like trying to apply baseball skills to football or vice versa and saying one is better or what ever. Their different sports. If Toney would have knocked out couture with a punch it still wouldn't prove anything we didn't know because everyone knows (including MMA Fans) that boxers are the best skilled punchers and that a MMA fighter would have the best chance in winning in by a take down. What happened last Sat didn't change **** about the Two sports.

RJ would have smashed Silva when they were tring to get a fight done, but those guys are locked into strict contracts that wouldn't allow it.

Not only that, but if they somehow found a way to do it, ****** ass White would probably bar them from going back after they got KTFO.
