But I've got to tease you. You didn't say a choke is nothing... but you said it means nothing? You got to admit that distinction's a bit funny.

Yes, if there's nothing to a fight but a guy shooting in and getting caught in a guillotine choke, that's anticlimactic.

But if a fighter can get dominant position and completely prevent someone from doing anything else and then get a submission, that's good work.

As I've always said in the tired MMA vs. boxing debate, it's a matter of taste. If you don't like MMA, that's fine. Some MMA fans don't like boxing. Some of us like both.

What we enjoy in life is all about taste. Me, I don't like sappy romantic movies, so I don't watch 'em.
I agree to a point there. A few weeks ago I watched that Lesnar Carwin fight and it was enjoyable, but when he put him in the submission I still couldn't help but feel that anti-climactic pain, even though he had wore the opponent out to get to that stage.

It wasn't such a great pain, but tonight's...I can't get my head around it. If I was Couture I wouldn't be satisfied with that at all I'd be still having nightmares about the opponent, wouldn't feel like I had beaten him.

I guess the notion of the KO being the roll of the dice factor in fights is too far engrained in me.

I'll leave it there, I need to get to bed lol Have a good meal, man.

this was meant to be a public humiliation from the start, just as they would have done with Floyd Jr when in fact, we all know MMA and boxing are 2 different sports, it's not about which one is better
            why?, to embarrass him

Many people here thought he would win that fight. Toney got owned

The interview with Toney at the end lasted only about two questions as neither the questioner or anyone else could understand what the **** this fat slob was trying to say. You need subtitles for poeople like him and the Mayweather family.

Toney fought a ****ty fight to, i mean WTF was he doing using those tight turns waiting to counter, when its obvious the opponent is going to be going underneath for your legs? the only defensive posture you could conceivably use against someone trying employ that strategy is to use the whole of the Octagon and use your legs, try and catch him coming in that way, least you a chance of scurrying away if he does go for your legs.

Not only was the take down to easy, Toney looked like he had not learned a damn thing in the ground game.

That's what you kinda get for hanging around the co-founder of Kenpo 5.0.

                      I'm pulling the BS Flag

UFC and Dana White must think we are ******. So I'm pulling the BS Flag on this one. They build this fight on UFC vs Boxing, but it was a UFC fight. Now Randy did what he was suppose to do in the OCTAGON! Now they should have a boxing matching PURE boxing as this was pure MMA a 10 round boxing match and see what happens in the RING! I think we all know the results, including Dana white he wouldn't let Anderson Silva fight Roy Jones Jr. pulled that I have you under contract card out quick when talks of the fight started to come up and we talking this old version of RJJ not the Superman RJJ so that tells me Dana knows the truth also and as much as I respect pure UFC fighters trying to compare it to other sports is a joke, because we could all laugh and say that the WWE is better then the UFC you know why the FORMER WWE World Champion is the UFC Heavyweight Champion but we know that's not true either. It's like telling Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady to throw A-Rod a fastball and expect a strike out yeah right that **** going right over the fence and then try and tell people baseball is better then football like I said BS please reply if you agree.
